FIRST YEAR PROJECT
INSIDE/OUTSIDE
The brief for this project was to respond to and explore inside/outside space. My initial concept was based on the changing shadows cast by some iron railings, which I represented with thread. The concept evolved however, into exploring the way the thread created and defined an inside space, which looked  to  be  accessible, but wasn't.  I created a series of spatial models to show this.

LIVE/WORK
The brief for this project was to design a live/work space for an artist, based on the Dom-ino house by Le Corbusier.  I chose to design my house for  the internationally renowned ceramicist and writer, Edmund De Waal. The site given for the house was a current nature reserve, located in the centre of Bristol in St Werburghs.

PROJECT & INDEPENDENT WORK

I'm loving my current studies, particularly as there is a strong focus on materials, which has given me the opportunity to experiment with materials and processes that I would otherwise not have had access to. This is a selection of images from my first two years studies, together with some pieces I have made inspired by my projects. I hope my enjoyment shows through the images.
